This is highly dependent on if there are kids and adults. And if you are animal-based, carnivore or eat more moderate servings of meat. Also, will you be serving this meat to guests frequently?                            

  Approximate timeframes:
                                        

1. 1⁄8 share for single or couple household: 3-4 months    

2. Quarter share for single/couple/small family: 4-6 months

3.  Half Cow share for family: 7-9 months 

4.  Whole Cow for family: 9-12 months
